While Invincible season 2 is definitely on its way, we’re not going to be seeing it this month unfortunately. They also spent a lot of time making it known that they wanted a second season, and Amazon obliged by renewing it for a second and third. The eight-episode debut season didn’t run for that long, but in that short amount of time, fans of the comic and new fans in general made the most of it, praising it for its bold creative choices, mature storytelling and overall loyalty to the source material. The stars aligned for Invincible because it was met with nothing but love when its first three episodes premiered on Amazon back in March 2021.

In fact, if we’re being totally honest, people were talking about it well before it premiered, almost as if they knew it was destined to reach the heights that it did.Īnd why wouldn’t a show like this be successful? It is, after all, based on a critically-acclaimed Image Comics series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, with the former also being heavily involved in bringing the show to screen. It has been just over a year since Invincible made its long-awaited debut on Amazon Prime Video and the world hasn’t stopped talking about it since.
